Bold Idea

Harness technology to make social impact organizations more effective and efficient by improving their monitoring, evaluation, and management capabilities.

With simple mobile data capture and cloud-based systems that automatically analyze and feed-back key programmatic information to staff at all levels, Vera's monitoring & evaluation applications bring data to life—changing the way development organizations make decisions.

Taylor Downs studied religion, philosophy, and natural sciences at Amherst College, but living with and learning from a refugee population in northern India in 2007 spurred his ambition to work in international development. From 2008 to 2011 he lived in South Africa, designing and implementing curricula, trainings, and M&E systems for Grassroot Soccer and their partners in more than 12 countries.
