Biography
Inspired by personal experience and the work of mentally disabled activists, Sehnaz Layikel dedicated her life to improving Turkey’s treatment of people with mental disabilities. In addition to earning an MA in Clinical Psychology from Istanbul Bilgi University, she has co-authored a report with Mental Disability Rights International on the state of Turkey’s psychiatric institutions.
