Rebecca Heller 2010 fellow
Create a system of legal representation for Iraqi refugees living in dangerous situations overseas in order to ensure their timely resettlement in a safe third country.
Becca Heller is a former Fulbright Scholar who has worked with refugees in both humanitarian and legal contexts in Central America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East. She is currently the Director of the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), a student-led organization that provides legal advocacy for Iraqi refugees, which she co-founded while a second-year student at Yale Law School. She has since received a Skadden Fellowship to continue her work with IRAP full time. Becca graduated from Yale Law School in 2010, but continues her work there as a visiting clinical lecturer in law.
