In his previous role as the India-head of a Private Equity firm, Piyush restructured the group's portfolio companies, enhanced their operational efficiency and grew them rapidly. A certified Instructor in Basic Life Support, Piyush holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from University of Delhi, India.
Piyush Tewari is the Founder and CEO of SaveLIFE Foundation, a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to improving road safety and emergency medical care across India. He is currently championing the development of a strong national road safety law for India while also expanding SaveLIFE's award-winning model of emergency care, which trains, connects and mobilizes citizen volunteers and police officers to the aid of injured victims well before formal care is available. Piyush is an Ashoka Fellow, an Echoing Green Fellow, a Rolex Laureate and has recently been conferred the prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award. Prior to taking up Road Safety full-time, Piyush was a Managing Director at a US-based Private Equity Fund.
