Paul VanDeCarr 1995 Global Fellow

Experience 

Paul is managing director of Working Narratives, an organization using storytelling for social change. Among other projects, the organization runs Nation Inside, a story-based web platform for campaigns working to end mass incarceration, and has published a guide Paul authored on “Storytelling and Social Change.” Ever since his Echoing Green Fellowship, he has continued to use storytelling for social justice, working in such forms as theater (for playwright and actress Anna Deavere Smith) and oral history (the Columbia Center for Oral History). He has master’s degrees from the Divinity School and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
