Biography 

Marie So is the co-founder of Ventures in Development, a non-profit that catalyses creation of social enterprises in the Greater China region. Since 2006, Marie and her partner Carol Chyau have founded two social enterprises: Meixiang Yak Cheese (www.meixiangcheese.com) and Shokay (www.shokay.com) Marie graduated from Harvard Kennedy School’s Masters in Public Administration/International Development program (MPA/ID). She is a recipient of the Asia 21 Young Leader 2008 award, Asia Society; the Business in Development (BID) 2006 award; and recently, she was selected as to participate in the 2009 World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders. Most importantly, she loves the yaks and Tibetan nomads that she works with.
