Experience

Lovita Tandy is currently the owner of Tandy Professional Development. She teaches law firms and in-house counsel teams to leverage talent, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. She relies on project management, organizational development, and change management theory to structure individual training programs for these teams. Tandy received her Bachelors in African American studies from Harvard, and later graduated from Duke University School of Law. As an undergraduate, she served as the President of Phillips Brooks House, Harvard's student run-public service organization. Tandy was a litigation partner based in King & Spalding's Atlanta office from 1997-2010 and again from 2013-2016. Much of Ms. Tandy's litigation practice focuses on helping mid-size and large companies implement employment and diversity related policies and procedures, investigating discrimination and harassment claims and litigating these claims. Tandy has provided pro bono advice to various schools and organizations representing disadvantaged populations including the Hetrick Martin Institute and the Martin Luther King Center for Social Change. She is involved in various local and national organizations focused on expanding opportunities for women and minorities in the legal profession.
