Organization 
While the world's farmers harvest enough to feed the planet, 25% of our food supply is lost to spoilage. Fenugreen is taking on this massive global challenge with a simple innovation, FreshPaper. Low-cost, compostable, and made with organic spices, FreshPaper keeps produce fresh 2-4 times longer. A grassroots movement has taken this simple idea from a local farmer's market to food banks, families, & farmers across the globe. Fenugreen aims to revolutionize the food economy from farm to fork, and transform the lives of the 1.6 billion who lack access to refrigeration with its mission of Fresh for All.
 
Biography 

Kavita is the inventor of FreshPaper, which started as her middle school science project. Kavita's work on FreshPaper and her quest to take on global food waste has been featured by The Washington Post, The Economist, The Financial Times, Newsweek, Bloomberg, Oprah Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine & NBC's Today Show. She was recently named one of the "7 Entrepreneurs Changing the World" by Fast Company. As she has led FreshPaper's remarkable grassroots growth, Kavita has spoken to audiences around the world about the power of simple innovation, including at TEDxManhattan, the International Creative Business Cup in Copenhagen, the Harvard Women's Leadership Conference, The Women's Forum in Deauville, and the Global Entrepreneurship Congress, in addition to keynotes at the Harvard Social Enterprise Conference and the Cartier & McKinsey Women's Initiative Forum in Tokyo. In 2013, Kavita was a featured speaker at the Women in the World Summit at the Lincoln Center. Kavita holds four patents and has received several international honors for her inventions including recognition from the Lemelson-MIT Foundation, the Cartier Women's Initiative, the Swiss Consulate, the British Consulate, the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Intel Foundation and the Kauffman Foundation. She holds a BA from Harvard University.
