Jeremy Hess 1995 fellow
Educate young people about HIV/AIDS prevention, gender and sexuality, human rights, reproductive health, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender/intersex issues, life skills by training volunteers that reach out to youth gangs in Thailand.
Jeremy Hess is a practicing emergency medicine physician and medical epidemiologist. His public health work focuses on health issues related to energy, particularly the health impacts of climate change and health sector issues associated with petroleum scarcity and sustainability. Jeremy works both domestically, primarily with CDC as the climate change program's medical officer, and abroad. He is the co-founder, with two classmates from Brown University, of the Thai Youth AIDS Prevention (TYAP) program. Currently, Jeremy’s service work includes medical evaluations of torture survivors seeking political asylum.
