Since 1995, MYTOWN has been using the process of sharing local history to empower young people and build appreciation of urban neighborhoods. This work has led to the creation of more than 200 jobs for Boston teenagers who in turn have educated over 10,000 residents and visitors.

Personal Bio

Denise Thomas holds an MBA from Stanford, a BA from Yale and has served on several non-profit boards in Boston and New Haven. She was the Director of Human Resources at Uncommon Schools  in the summer of 2009. Prior to that, Ms. Thomas was the Director of Retail Analytics at Longs Drugs/CVS where she ran an operations analysis team charged with identifying and monitoring performance improvement opportunities. Prior to Longs, Ms. Thomas was a merchant at the TJX Companies, a management consulting associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, and an operations consultant at Frito-Lay. As of 2017, Denise Thomas works as Head of People at Cisco Meraki.
