Biography
David Schwartz’s experiences growing up in two communities with stark socioeconomic differences opened his eyes to the disparities in rates of diabetes, obesity, and access to healthy food. His experience is mainly in grassroots organizing and connecting with student leaders. While studying at Brown University, he co-founded the Sustainable Food Initiative, and worked with his co-founder, Anim Steel, on the Real Food Challenge.
