Summary 

Green Impact Campaign reduces emissions from U.S. small businesses by utilizing cloud-based tools and student volunteers. University students across the country are provided with training and cloud-based tools to conduct free energy surveys for local, small businesses in their community. Small businesses receive custom, actionable recommendations to reduce their energy and water usage while students gain professional skills and hands-on experience relevant to future green careers. Green Impact Campaign is reducing the environmental impact of business on the planet and better equipping the next generation of climate leaders.

Experience 

Daniel Hill is the co-founder and president of Green Impact Campaign, a nonprofit focused on reducing emissions from U.S. small businesses by utilizing cloud-based tools and student volunteers. Daniel has a professional background in energy management, sustainability strategy development, and occupant engagement program design in the built environment. Prior to Green Impact Campaign, he was a sustainability consultant at several DC-based consulting firms, providing energy and sustainability management for international real estate developers, local and national government entities, and privately owned businesses. During graduate school, Daniel was part of an EPA grant focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from university residence halls as well as an energy auditor for a national park service. In 2011, he was awarded Net Impact's Force for Change Award for his work with Green Impact Campaign. Daniel received a BS in Integrated Science and Technology and a MBA from James Madison University.
