Bold Idea

Improve the well-being of children by preparing children for kindergarten, insuring that children are academically successful, and building the capacity of local communities to support: low income children, children who are English-language learners, children without a preschool experience, and families that may be at risk for child abuse and neglect.

Experience

Prior to starting the Echoing Green fellowship, Audrey received her BA from Duke University and MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She ran the fellowship organization for six years. Since leaving the Peninsula Partnership in 1997, she has been working in local government management, first with the City of Palo Alto, CA and for the past six years as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Menlo Park, CA. She is involved in advancing the effectiveness of leadership in the local government profession and has been a published author, speaker and trainer toward this end. In 2005, she received the John H. Nail Award for distinguished community leadership from the League of California Cities.
