B.A. Smith College, M.Phil Oxford University, MA Yale Law School. 2006 MacArthur Fellow; 1995 Bunting Instsitute Fellow; currently a fellow at the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public library, working on a book about stand-up comedians.
