New York Times Highlights Mental Disability Rights International Report

Eric Rosenthal, a 1992 Echoing Green Fellow, was highlighted in today's New York Times. His organization, Mental Disability Rights International, has spent the last four years researching the treatment of institutionalized youth and adults with disabilities in Serbia.  The results of his report are staggering:

“This is the most horrifying abuse I have seen on powerless children, who are tied to beds and unable to move,” he said. “This constitutes a clear case of torture.”

Additional coverage: Eric's colleague Laurie Ahern appeared on NBC's Today Show this morning
