Win $5,000 for Your Idea to End Abuse
Karen Tse of International Bridges to Justice, as well as a 2002 Echoing Green Fellow, Ashoka Fellow, and Skoll Award winner, just announced a new competition to support the best idea to end torture and abuse. Called JusticeMakers, the campaign opens with a $5,000 prize to "implement an idea that curbs torture, arbitrary detainment or abuse." Apply... or if you don't have an idea, pass on the good word.
And, if you are need for a good old inspriation, watch the three minute video.
Speaking (or writing) personally, Karen herself inspires me everytime I talk to her. She has a peaceful center, yet has her hands in a million changing the world pots. And, she is in a different country practically every week, working to ensure that the basic legal rights of ordinary citizens are upheld. Be sure to read about her varied background.
