Winning Design Selected in T-Shirt Contest
We have been inspired by the amazing response to Echoing Green’s T-shirt design contest. Over the past three weeks, we received more than 100 entries from amateur and professional designers (you can see some of our favorites in the Montage below). Yesterday, we collaborated with our great judges (Joon Ma of Louis Vuitton and 2007 Echoing Green Fellow Adam Bucko of the Reciprocity Foundation) to pick a winner. This was some seriously hard work (there are so many factors to consider!), but we eventually arrived at consensus.
The winning design is titled “Change” by Audree Rowe and features a variety of birds on a wire (seen above in blue). We liked the design because it felt like a totally new concept that still fit with the traditional Echoing Green look. Plus this design looks great on all sorts of colored shirts!
Audree Rowe is the editorial cartoonist for The Glenview Journal, an artist, a graphic designer, and a mom. She loves to design and create. You can check out Audree's website at: ArtbyAudree.blogspot.com. She was pretty excited to win.
Where can you buy the shirt? Nowhere yet... but we'll let you know as soon as it's ready to ship!
Thank you to all those who participated!
