Team Barclays wins for Team Echoing Green

Echoing Green’s innovate approach to supporting our Fellows includes wrap-around services that engage our corporate partners in skills-based volunteering – an aspect of our ecosystem that has quickly become vital to delivering business assistance to our Fellows and community at-large. Through these partnerships, we have seen the exchange of not only financial assistance to Fellows, but also critical knowledge products and strategic counsel that is so often needed at this early stage in our innovators’ work. 

In particular, our partnership with Barclays has become a dynamic example of the many ways in which employees can meaningfully contribute to social causes. For the past two years, over 100 Barclays team members have engaged with Echoing Green by vetting applications for the Fellowship program, participating as advisors in Brain Trust events, joining the Social Investment Council, and various other activities that directly support and enhance Echoing Green’s mission.

The hard work of Barclays employees is a testament to the power of skills-based volunteering, and we are excited to announce that Team Echoing Green, comprised of our champions at Barclays, recently won the 2012 Barclays Citizenship Award for Team Achievement in the Americas! The awards are in celebration of Barclays employees who demonstrate deep commitment to their communities by lending their time, passion, and expertise to finding solutions for global challenges around the world.
