Summer Friday: Innovations in Market-Based Solutions
Throughout our twenty-fifth anniversary year, we've been exploring the connections between the pioneering work of the Echoing Green community and the newest innovations of our 2013 class. All summer long we'll be offering up video pairings showing that the locally-grown apple doesn't fall too far from the microfinanced tree. So before you slip out for the weekend, take a moment to learn about the changes these Fellows have brought about in this world, and the work yet to be done!
Weekend 4: Using Market-Based Solutions to Drive Social Change
Echoing Green partner Blake Mycoskie talked about why he started the Start Something That Matters Fund, and how Echoing Green's philosophy aligns with his dedication to investing deeply in early-stage organizations.
Succesful finalists and 2013 Fellows Harlyn Pacheco and Ricardo Rodriguez pitched the bold idea behind their organization Qlovi: increase literacy by combining software and literature.
