Social Impact Jobs July 2012
Each month I use my Social Impact Jobs post to share positions with organizations that are powerful drivers of social change. This month I’m delighted that we have two impact driven positions open right here at Echoing Green. We’re looking for a Financial Controller and a Senior Associate, Alumni Programs.
From the view of an employer, one of the hardest parts of hiring new staff is conveying your organizational culture to potential applicants. To give a better sense of what working at Echoing Green might look like, I asked some of our staff to share their thoughts on what we’re looking for and what it’s like to work here. Read their thoughts below and then jump into our global list of jobs creating social change.
“For our Financial Controller we’re looking for someone who is deeply passionate, extraordinarily talented and ready to bring creative thinking into everything they do.”—John Walker, Finance Director
“For our new Senior Associate, we’re looking for someone who is not only excited about supporting Fellows, but also performing in an extremely high energy and high expectation setting.”—Rich Leimsider, Director of Fellowship and Alumni Programs
“What I like most about Working at Echoing Green is the constant risk-taking on new projects and initiatives that expand the breadth of our offerings and being exposed to our amazing Fellows.”—Rebecca Kaufman, Coordinator, Work on Purpose
“On my way to the office in the morning I look forward to our wonderful coffee machine and coming up with creative healthy snacks to keep stocked so our team can keep running at full efficiency all day.”—Sandra Quinones, Director of Administration and Operations
“One of the things that really set Echoing Green apart is how well our teams communicate. Because so many projects require all of our diverse skills, it’s essential that traditional silos are more like little white picket fences. Our office redesign made it even easier to pull information and resources between departments when we need it.”—Taliesin Gilkes-Bower, Coordinator, Online Communications
“If Echoing Green was an animal, I think we would be an amoeba. We’re always transforming to meet the latest needs in the sector and constantly adapting.”—Corie Pope, Senior Development Associate
