Social Impact Jobs December 2012
Everyone deserves theologian Frederick Buechner’s definition of a ‘vocation’: a job in which ‘your greatest passion meets the world’s greatest need.’ But how do you find one? This month along with our picks for Social Impact Jobs, we're offering two mini-grants together with Hillel's Ask Big Questions to help you get closer to finding your vocation by exploring the question, "What does the world need from me?" How would you use $500 to help answer this question? Would you attend a conference on an issue you care about such as poverty or injustice? Would you buy a train ticket to a city you feel called to serve and interview people about their needs? Or perhaps you would go to a monastery and learn how monks live the question in their daily lives? If you're looking for a new job, but not sure where to start, we hope completing our challenge gives you some new clarity.
With that, here are some fabulous opportunities that have passed my desk over the last few weeks.
