Social Change Word Cloud
As noted in a November blog post, we were thrilled to receive 2,854 applications from 118 countries for the 2011 Echoing Green Fellowship. At this stage in the process, each application is receiving multiple reviews by Echoing Green staff and dozens of our esteemed readers. Stay tuned for the announcement of the semi-finalists at the beginning of January 2011.
In the meantime, here is a visual depiction of the words most frequently used by applicants in their response to the question “Describe your idea for social change.” Perhaps unsurprisingly, words like “social,” “community,” and “sustainable” were common in the responses. What words are you surprised to find in the text cloud? Are there any words you expected to see not depicted?
