A New Look at the 2011 Semifinalists
Last week we were thrilled to announce the 224 promising social change organizations selected as semifinalists for the 2011 Echoing Green Fellowship. At this stage in the process, the semifinalists review and update their applications, including a competitive analysis, extended essay prompts, and budget outlines.
Our Fellowship program supports emerging visionary leaders in all areas of the social change sector—from poverty to technology to health—so we’re always excited to see the wide-ranging program areas served by the semifinalists’ organizations. As depicted in the chart below, economic development and education top the list, followed by human rights, environment, and healthcare.
Are you surprised by the percentages in this chart?

Stay tuned to our blog or join our email list to be the first to hear about the next steps in our selection process.
