Mark Hanis Op-Ed Published in the Washington Post
2006 Echoing Green Fellow Mark Hanis recently co-wrote an Op-Ed column entitled “A Pledge to Honor in Iraq,” which was featured in Saturday’s edition of The Washington Post.
The article was written in response to Vice President Joe Biden’s recent comments addressed to the leaders of Iraq previously featured in The New York Times. Arguing that his remarks discredit the critical role and responsibility of The United States in Iraq, Mark Hanis and Chad Hazlett conclude their article by imploring the United States to no longer “allow politics to blind us to what responsibilities may emerge in the coming months and years.”
