Join us for the Be Bold Summit

Fellows from the 2009 and 2010 Echoing Green Fellowship classes, along with alumni from previous classes will head to Austin, TX from January 27-30 for the Current Fellows’ Conference. Fellows’ and invited guests are gathering from all over the world to reconnect and recharge. They will mix, mingle, and talk shop, while spending a good deal of time doing what Echoing Green does best—providing an active, leadership driven space, with experts, support and some serious reflection.

This year, however, we will be opening a portion of the CFC to the Austin community. We are hosting the Be Bold Summit on Friday, January 28th on the University of Texas, Austin* campus from 2-5:30pm. Featuring Fellows, invited speakers, and local musicians, the Summit will highlight “10 Ideas Worth Spreading.”

Speakers will include:
-    Isaac Holeman and Josh Nesbit, founders of MedicMobile
-    Esra'a Al Shafei, founder of the MidEast Youth Movement
-    Nina Dudnik, founder and CEO of Seeding Labs
-    Socheata Poeuv, CEO of Khmer Legacies
-    Felix Brandon Lloyd, founder of Skill Life, Inc.
-    David del Ser, founder of Frogtek

Just added:

-    Jessica Shortall, Director of Giving, TOMS Shoes
-    Doug Ulman, President, Lance Armstrong Foundation
-    Philip Berber, Co-Chair, A Glimmer of Hope
-    Turk Pipkin, Co-Founder, The Nobility Project

We invite you to be a part of the conversation.  We want your fresh perspectives, world-changing ideas, life experiences, travel stories, global knowledge, breath-taking innovations, and open minds to fill the room with thought-provoking discussion.

To join us:

  • Share “what idea you think is shaking the word” in 80 words or less;
  • Send it, along with your name, affiliation and email address to news@echoinggreen.org, no later than January 24th.

We will contact all those who are invited to the Summit by Wednesday, January 26th with more details.  In the meantime, step up and share your bold ideas. See you in Austin!

*Please note that you are responsible for your own travel to Austin.
