2004 Echoing Green Fellow Furman Brown is creating quite a buzz in the New York City education system.
Furman Brown envisioned a new way of teaching when he co-founded Generation Schools. Now being implemented in Brooklyn Generation School in the building that was once South Shore High School, the Generation Schools' model maximizes the time of teachers and students.
To read more about how Generation Schools is revolutionizing the way teachers teach (and learn!) check out the article "N.Y.C. School Built Around Unorthodox Use of Time" in last week's issue of Education Week.
