Black Male Achievement
We're gearing up for this year's Fellowship selection cycle. On Monday, December 5, 2011, we'll open up the 2012 application process. For all you budding social entrepreneurs out there, you'll have until January 9, 2012 to submit your social change business plans. We love this time of year—we get so inspired by the passion, commitment and visionary thinking expressed through the fellowship applications. So bring it!!!
Yet, if it's possible, we're even MORE excited this year to announce a partnership with the Open Society Fellowship (OSF) for Black Male Achievement. Echoing Green is honored to be working with the OSF team to launch this new 18-month fellowship program that will invest in emerging leaders committed to generating new ideas and best practices for the field of black male achievement. We're looking for next generation leadership with innovative new ideas for improving the life outcomes of black men and boys, especially those working in the areas of education, family and work.
While this Fellowship for emergining social entrepreneurs is distinct from the Echong Green Fellowship, these soon-to-be selected social change leaders will be welcomed fully into the Echoing Green family with the same level of care and support provided to our Fellows. We stand shoulder to shoulder with our friends at OSF to ensure that this inaugural class of Open Society Fellows for Black Male Achievement hits the ground running.
We're looking forward to reviewing your game-changing ideas addressing this most critical issue. And as you're working on your fellowship application, remember Echoing Green's mantra: Be Bold, Think Big and Drive Change!!!
