Have you ever wanted to join global leaders at the World Economic Forum to voice your opinions on the problems facing the economic and social sectors today? Now’s your chance.

The World Economic Forum, an international organization based in Switzerland, is holding their 2008 Annual Meeting in Davos; over 2,500 participants from 88 countries will convene from January 23rd to January 27th, including 27 heads of state or government, religious leaders, media leaders and heads of non-governmental organizations. At this meeting, the participants will discuss various views of the major economic, political, societal, and technological forces at work in today’s world. This year’s theme is “The Power of Collaborative Innovation.”

And on the topic of innovation—the World Economic Forum has recently joined with YouTube to create a contest challenging us to answer The Davos Question. The Forum participants want to know: "What one thing do you think that countries, companies or individuals must do to make the world a better place in 2008?" Anyone can submit a response, and the highest ranking video will be screened at the annual meeting for figures such as Tony Blair, Bono, and Bill Clinton. Sort through the videos, hear others’ opinions and vote for the one you like the best. Also, be on the lookout for 2002 Echoing Green Fellow Karen Tse, who created a video about the importance of human rights around the world.
