The Echoing Green staff and experienced evaluators were inspired and encouraged by the ideas, passion, and enthusiasm for social change captured in the 2,854 applications we received this year.
Echoing Green sent official notifcations to all applicants this morning.
Semifinalists will have the opportunity to submit additional information about their idea, and the finalists will be invited to Echoing Green’s Selection Weekend in May 2011.
We sincerely thank all of this year’s applicants and wish everyone much success in their efforts in improving our world.

Hello! bedkeac interesting bedkeac site!
We are so excited and honored!
On behalf of the staff at SponsorChange we would like to say how honored and grateful we are to be chosen to move forward to the next round. We are looking forward to continuing the interview process with Echoing Green and showing them how we social entrepreneurs plan to attack “the root causes of critical social problems with unparalleled rigor.”

Since I'm not on the list, I know I wasn't funded, but I never received any kind of notification - I just realized that I hadn't heard anything and thought I should check the website. Is there any way to confirm that you got my application in the first place?

Thank you, Echoing Green!
Feedback
For those of us (sad face) who didn't make the semifinals, will we receive feedback? This is my second time applying and I don't know what i'm doing wrong...
RE: Feedback
Thanks for your comment, and for submitting an application. Based on the volume of applications we receive, we cannot provide individual feedback on your application. Reasons for not advancing your application are specific to the Echoing Green process and selection criteria (learn more here) and are not necessarily reflective of the strength of your idea or the need for your proposed program.
Grateful
I am so happy that Warrior Writers is a semifinalist.
Brief organization descriptions
Great to see this list. Would it be possible for Echoing Green to (re)publish the list with a brief description of what each organization does? (Perhaps the one-sentence business description in part one of the application?)
I'd love to see more about what these groups are working on (without Googling each one)!
Website links possible?
I have been googling a lot of these to find out who they are! But there are way too many to google, and it seems that a lot of them either don't have websites or do not use SEO.
I would love it if you just added links to the homepages or websites of all the organizations/companies who have one.
Thanks for your excitement
Thanks for your excitement regarding the semifinalists! We've updated the blog with links to the organizations of the semifinalists (when available).

Malo Traders
I am thrilled to see Malo Traders so recognized by Echoing Green. As a Prof. who has worked with its founder and driving spirit and as a founder and President of seventeen national and international corporations during the last forty seven years, I can attest to the validity and necessity of Malo Traders' work to reduce malnutrtion and starvation in countries whose staple crop is rice. I pray that Malo Traders wins so it may beginning its operations in Africa in the near future.
