African Leadership Academy enrollment grows
We were excited to get an exuberant email this week from 2006 Echoing Green Fellow Chris Bradford about the second year of the African Leadership Academy (ALA).
ALA officially opened its doors last year with a mission to transform Africa by developing and supporting future generations of African leaders. Their goal is to bring the most promising 16-19 year old leaders from across the entire continent to study at their institution in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In just their second year, ALA has received 2500 applications for just over 100 available spots. This year, they will have a total of 180 students on campus from thirty-six countries. Congratulations to Chris and Fred on their amazing launch!
To hear more about ALA, check out this series of videos from seven students in the inaugural class.
