We have a lot of hope.
Echoing Green started this journey several months ago with 3,508 Fellowship applications. First off, wow. That’s a whole lot of changemaking potential.
Today we announce thirty-eight have been selected as Finalists—approximately one percent—of the original pool. Read about their grand aspirations, innovative solutions, passion for their work, and of course, their Moments of Obligation—the experiences that led the Finalists to confront the biggest problems in the world with their bold solutions for social change. Be prepared to feel hopeful too!
FINALIST FACTS:
-40 percent plan to launch for-profits, 50 percent will launch nonprofits, and 10 percent will deploy a hybrid model.
-The Finalists strive to work in fourteen countries, with three planning to have a global footprint.
-Twelve Finalists will focus their impact in the United States, seven in India, and three in Pakistan.
-The most highly represented area is poverty alleviation and economic development.
