2011 Fellows Challenge Complete!

I am thrilled to announce that we have met and exceeded our 2011 Fellows Challenge, raising over $450,000 to support the 2011 Echoing Green Fellows!
Last month, The Pershing Square Foundation challenged Echoing Green to raise $150,000 by June 30th, which they would match two dollars for every dollar contributed by the Echoing Green community. Those that supported us in this challenge play a vital role in our innovation ecosystem, providing the critical seed funding and support our Fellows need to solve the world's biggest problems.
I want to extend my sincere thanks to The Pershing Square Foundation, our board, and to everyone in the Echoing Green community who contributed. You have made Echoing Green's work possible—turning our Fellows' visions into breakthrough solutions.

The Pershing Square Foundation supports social entrepreneurs with innovative ideas who demonstrate the means to accelerate social change for the most disadvantaged communities in the US and globally. Focus areas include poverty alleviation, education, health, social justice, the arts and social enterprise. They have invested in Echoing Green for four years, and helped us to champion our Fellows working in fields ranging from domestic education to global health and economic development. Today, they have challenged the Echoing Green network to match the boldness of our newest class of Echoing Green Fellows. |
