Another Must Read: The Power of Unreasonable People

George Bernard Shaw once wrote, “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.” Those unreasonable people are now called social entrepreneurs, the ones we at Echoing Green work to identify and support everyday.  Thus, we were elated to hear about a book written by John Elkington and Pamela Hartigan, titled The Power of Unreasonable People: How Social Entrepreneurs Create Markets That Change The World. The book is a fantastic read, as it describes how these individuals are changing the way the world looks at business, society, and the environment.  Plus, it explains to the reader how these pioneers are engineering their business models and leadership styles, so that anyone can use these lessons to foster positive social change.

Elkington and Hartigan’s book identifies some of the most unconventional entrepreneurs who are taking strides to solve the world's most pressing problems. Be sure to check it out at Amazon here: The Power of Unreasonable People.
