Anthony is Echoing Green’s senior strategy associate specializing in Internet technologies. Prior to joining Echoing Green, Anthony was a founder and managing partner of LightSky, an interactive agency specializing in serving the nonprofit and educational sectors. Under his leadership, LightSky grew to more than twenty employees serving more than one hundred clients. Anthony holds a BA in psychology from Goshen College (1999) and an MBA through the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has recently volunteered for the Mennonite Economic Development Association (MEDA).

Why do you do what you do?

wdydwyd sign: To be the duck that dives deep.

The most inspirational note I ever received was at my high school graduation. My English teacher wrote me a personal note about living up to my potential: to become more than "the duck that never dives deep." I'm still working on it.

What drew you to work at Echoing Green?

I was attracted to the field of social entrepreneurship as a force of innovation in the social sector. As a recent entrepreneur myself, I felt a connection to challenges and opportunities for both Echoing Green and for our fellows.

What book are you currently reading?

Deep Economy by Bill McKibben and The Art of Simple Food by Alice Waters

What do you do for fun in your free time?

I love taking digital photography, cooking classic Midwestern food, listening to live music, and rocking out with Guitar Hero.

When was your last Be Bold moment?

Making the trek to get seafood on City Island over Memorial Day. There was a house fire that shut down all traffic to the island from the Bronx. But, we were undeterred and simply walked the last couple of miles through Pelham Bay Park.

Visit Seattle and the Pacific Northwest for the first time. I’ll take some pictures for you.

No current pets. Growing up I had a cat named "Pronoun."
