Former Echoing Green Executive Staff Member
For almost two decades, Lara Galinsky has been helping individuals build lives and careers that are both right for them and good for the world. As the Senior Vice President of Echoing Green, a groundbreaking nonprofit with the mission to unleash next generation talent to solve the world’s biggest problems, Lara championed emerging social entrepreneurs and helped promising social change agents find their purpose.
Lara began her career at Do Something in 1997 where she served as the National Program Director and created Do Something’s BRICK Award (now called the Do Something Award) to celebrate and financially support the most outstanding young leaders in America generating change in their communities.
In her role at Echoing Green, Lara judged, selected, and supported twelve classes of Echoing Green Fellows and social entrepreneurs. She also launched innovative new programs, including the Work on Purpose program to transform the way in which people make their biggest life and work decisions, the Social Investment Council to engage emerging business leaders in the field of social impact, and Direct Impact to prepare the next generation of board leaders. She is the co-author of two books that have become cornerstones of Echoing Green’s work: Work on Purpose (2011) and Be Bold: Create a Career with Impact (2007).
Lara is the co-chair of the advisory board at the Patricelli Center for Social Entrepreneurship at Wesleyan University.
