Jackson Tse - Social Investment Council Profile

Jackson Tse

Tell us about yourself! Where are you from and what do you do for a living?

I grew up in Rockland County, New York and I am currently an Associate at General Atlantic (GA), a global growth equity firm, focused on investments in the Energy & Resources sector, which covers areas including energy efficiency technology, renewable / alternative energy and water.

Why did you get involved with Echoing Green and our Social Investment Council? How have you been involved?

I have been involved with Echoing Green since the fall of 2005. Initially, I was looking get involved with an organization in efforts to give back to the community, but had a difficult time finding the right organization . Coming across Echoing Green and learning about the opportunity to help create and spark multiple organizations that have a positive social impact was exciting. Further, having the option to work closely with particular organizations of interest was extremely appealing. Since I have joined the Social Investment Council, in addition to helping with the fellowship evaluation process, I have played a role in the Council’s fundraising efforts.

What is your social change passion?

While I have many social interests, I am particularly interested in affecting change in the areas of healthcare and education. I believe both areas are the building blocks to a better society. With new innovation and ideas, we can make a difference in these areas across the world.
