Associate, Fellow Programs
Echoing Green seeks a passionate and detail-oriented project manager and relationship builder with 5+ years of relevant experience. The Associate, Fellow Programs will serve on the team that manages the search, selection, and support of an incredible group of promising social entrepreneurs.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Every year, Echoing Green identifies approximately 30 incredible, ambitious, exciting potential leaders and then offers them two years of funding and support. The Associate of Fellow Programs provides day-to-day management of our search, selection, and support processes for these individuals. The Associate shares responsibilities with other Associates and Senior Associates, and the team is supported by two Program Assistants who support database and event management issues.
The ideal candidate, then, is eager to operate and execute, and also impassioned about generating new ideas to align fellow and alumni programs with Echoing Green’s broader social change agenda.
Direct Fellow Support
- Manage a portfolio of current fellows – writing their Individual Fellow Plans, monitoring their progress, and helping to identify resources and develop tools that support their success
- Directly manage support programs for fellows, including advisory service projects, where fellows are paired with outside experts who provide short-term consulting help to the fellow
Relationship Management
- Creating new partnerships to encourage a diverse range of qualified applicants
- Provide direct support to applicants and evaluators throughout the process
- Identify and develop organizational partnerships (such as with universities, professional service firms, or other nonprofits) that would be of benefit to fellows
Event and Application Process Project Management
- With the team, provide program support to various gatherings including our Interview Week, New Fellows Retreats, and All Fellows Conferences
- Support the highly-detailed process of gathering applications and monitoring the judging/review process using our online application system
Requirements
- Passion for Echoing Green’s mission, with a commitment to social entrepreneurship and harnessing next generation talent.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ideally, the candidate has direct experience as a social entrepreneur. At a minimum, the candidate has a meaningful understanding of a start-up climate (where our Fellows are).
- An experienced networker, with some relevant existing networks and a readiness to build new ones with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong ability to work independently, but also desire for and experience with working in high-performing teams and across departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Manager, Impact Investing
Echoing Green is hiring a Manager to expand the organization’s knowledge, thought leadership, and influence in the Impact Investing field. This new position requires a self-starter who can shape the scope and responsibilities of the role and be flexible as it evolves. Initially, the Manager will oversee the development and dissemination of a portfolio of research projects focused on Impact Investing as it relates to Echoing Green’s work to support social entrepreneurs. The Manager will identify and execute opportunities to disseminate the research in a variety of offline and online channels, including reports, blogs, and presentations at conferences and other meetings of relevant stakeholders. Ultimately, the Manager will drive Echoing Green’s Impact Investing strategy and ensure the organization maintains its thought leadership in the field.
The Manager will serve as Echoing Green’s internal expert on Impact Investing and proactively seek opportunities to work collaboratively with all members of Echoing Green’s team. In addition, the Manager will support Echoing Green’s Fellows through knowledge, programs, and tools that deepen their awareness. This position requires a versatile leader with prior experience in the Impact Investing field and a proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion. The top candidate will bring previous experience researching, writing, and disseminating knowledge in various online and offline formats. S/he must be a skilled relationship-builder with the ability to proactively identify and engage diverse stakeholders, internally and externally.

- A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience with at least 2 years in the Impact Investing field (Investing experience not required)
- A proven knowledge of the key trends and stakeholders related to Impact Investing

Development Coordinator
The Development Coordinator is an exempt position supporting the work of the Development Department and reporting to the Development Director. The Development Coordinator works closely with other members of the Development Department as well as colleagues across the organization to fulfill his/her role.

The Development Department is instrumental in realizing this growth, and the Development Coordinator is critical to the Department’s success in meeting Echoing Green’s goals. We are a small Development Department, and it is essential that the Development Coordinator be willing to roll up his/her sleeves and work efficiently to meet our annual revenue targets. ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsibilities
- Administer the Development Department’s usage of our database, Salesforce, including record maintenance and data entry
- Manage the Development Department’s financial and gift processing systems, including prompt data entry of projections, pledges, and gifts received, tracking donor correspondence, and generating gift acknowledgment letters
- Create revenue forecasting reports and analysis for the Board of Directors, the Development Committee, and the Development Department as needed
- Assist in the planning of special events, particularly Echoing Green’s 500-person annual blockbuster event
- Act as the Development Department’s liaison with the Communications Department to assist with e-communications to our donor audience, including HTML emails, usage of Convio, and quarterly e-newsletters
- Create, edit, and/or proofread a broad range of Echoing Green materials for current and prospective donors
- Conduct research and create profiles on prospective individual and institutional donors
- Maintain departmental files, documents, and procedures
- Work with Development Department on special projects as needed

Program and Data Assistant
Echoing Green seeks an enterprising and detail-oriented Program and Data Assistant to support our Fellowship and Alumni team. This team manages the search, selection, and support of an incredible group of promising social entrepreneurs. The Program and Data Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the entire team, and provides some direct administrative support to the Director of Fellowship and Alumni Programs.

The Program and Data Assistant is responsible for all aspects of data collection and management for the Fellowship and Alumni Team, logistical support to social entrepreneurs, and operational support for our annual Fellowship application process.

Responsibilities
Application and Selection Support – 40%
- Support the highly-detailed process of gathering applications and monitoring the judging/review process using our online application system
- Manage applicant data from first point of contact to distributing pertinent information to judges
- Provide high quality customer-service support to applicants attempting to apply to Echoing Green throughout the application process
Data Support – 20%
- Act as database administrator for the Fellowship and Alumni team’s usage of Salesforce.com, including developing a deep understanding of how to best utilize the tool
- Maintain and update all fellowship and alumni related records
- Work with Senior Associates on special projects related to data collection and analysis using Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and other tools as needed.
- Work with Echoing Green’s Senior Associate for Knowledge Management to be forward-thinking about how to use data and systems to improve processes and decision making
Operational Support - 20%
- Process all Fellow and Alumni stipends and reimbursements, as well as tracking and recording all payments
- Manage the process of recommending Fellows and Alumni for contests and awards; provide support on letters of recommendation
- Along with other members of the team, provide logistical support for various gatherings and events, including our Interview Week, New Fellows Retreats and All Fellows Conferences.
Administrative Support for Director of Fellowship and Alumni Programs – 20%
- Provide database support (updating contacts, creating targeted lists, running reports) directly for the Director of Fellowship and Alumni Programs
- Arrange limited international travel, including visa applications and airline and hotel reservations
- Provide other administrative support as needed
